Key center in Paulínia, Brazil (CPP)
The Paulínia research center (CPP), based near Sao Paulo,works in partnership with Rhodia customers to develop and adapt new products, services and solutions by employing cross-fertilization of knowledge, technologies and markets. CPP works alongside the company’s other R&D centers on the development of environmentally-friendly technology solutions.
Like our other research and technology centers, the CPP is organized in applications, synthesis, processes and analysis areas, to develop new products and processes in association with our customers. Our laboratories house around 100 scientists working on products in the fields of organic chemistry, polymerization, materials science, and formulation for the paint, shoe, automotive and tire markets.
The center also has experts in thermodynamics and process safety, as well as a documentation center that supplies scientific and technological information to support Rhodia's network of production facilities in Latin America.
Rhodia R&D Latin America has developed partnerships, supported by partial government funding, with institutions including universities in SãoPaulo, Campinas and São Carlos; the Synchrotron Light Laboratory; SENAI and IPT.
