At FI Europe 2011: Rhodia Aroma Performance will exhibit new branding and repositioning of Rhovanil® vanillin and Rhodiarome® ethyl-vanillin range henceforth dedicated to the food industry.

At the forthcoming Food Ingredients Europe (Fi E) 2011 exhibition in Paris, Rhodia Aroma Performance (Hall 4 Booth K48) will showcase its complete industry-leading range of vanillin and ethyl-vanillin food-safe ingredients and reveal the new revamped branding and repositioning of the company’s flagship products Rhovanil®, Rhovanil®Natural and Rhodiarome® which meet the highest manufacturing safety standards demanded by the food industry. Henceforth these market-leading products will be dedicated to the food industry such as bakery, chocolate, confectionery, beverages and other dairy product applications.
To complement the repositioning of its key brands, Rhodia broadens its food-safe range of vanillin ingredient technology and introduces Rhovea™ a new and pioneering versatile range of customized aromatic vanillin products exclusively for non-food purposes such as fine and industrial perfumery, pharmaceutical and agro-chemical and feed industry applications.

Rhodia utilizes the environmentally responsible guaiacol, ex-catechol route to manufacture its flagship Rhovanil® vanillin and Rhodiarome® ethyl-vanillin range of food ingredients products and recently converted several steps of the manufacturing process to the use of food grade bio-ethanol as a solvent.
Rhodia’s re-aligned products for food and the new non-food range are now composed of distinct brands with re-designed logos offering a new fresh graphic identity.

Rhovea™ - a white to slightly yellowish rough crystalline powder with a characteristic vanilla aroma offering both desirable olfactive notes and sought after odour-masking capabilities and key appetent properties especially used in feed industry formulations.

Rhovanil®Natural from Rhodia Aroma Performance is obtained from a natural raw material and bio-fermentation process and has strong vanillin characteristics. Rhovanil®Natural complies with both European and USA (FDA) regulations to meet the requirements of a ‘natural status’ and therefore can used and labelled as ‘natural’ in foodstuffs essentially composed of one or more ingredients of plant origin.
Rhodiarome® is the only ethyl-vanillin product made from a fully back-integrated catechol-guetol process and has a warm vanilla note about three times stronger than vanillin and is therefore the most cost-effective vanilla note for many food applications.
Rhodia manufactures its vanillin and ethyl-vanillin range to the highest food safety standards at two facilities in Saint-Fons, France and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in the USA thereby ensuring customers a security of supply worldwide.
