Strategy
Concentrating on activities where we hold sustainable leadership positions, Rhodia now ranks among the leading specialty companies worldwide.
At the heart of Rhodia's strategy is our pursuit of profitable growth, based on three priorities:
-
Sustainable development - driving growth: with 32 percent of our sales generated from products that satisfy new sustainable development requirements, we are responding swiftly and effectively to our customers' demands for more sustainable solutions.
-
Targeted acquisitions - strengthening our leadership positions in growing markets: the acquisition of the McIntyre Group in early 2009 illustrates our desire to continue to expand in our priority markets.
-
Innovation - at the forefront of value creation and our distinctive product offering: Rhodia provides customers with solutions that meet their needs in terms of performance and sustainability, as well as the benefits derived from R&D centers in all major regions of the world.
Underpinning this strategy is a well balanced geographic presence. The Group has a longstanding presence in Europe and North America and was also established early on in Asia and Latin America. Nearly 50 percent of sales were generated in high-growth regions in 2010.
